  • HeartGold and SoulSilver

    Me. Want. Siiiiiilver. *squeal* Disregarding the fact that silver and green is the BEST color combination EVER (yeah, I know, I kind of didn't like the way J.K. Rowling dressed slimy Slytherin in such colors), I really want SoulSilver for nostalgic reasons. Ya know, looking back at all those childhood days when I played so ardently on my Silver version...

    But I don't think the remakes will ever feel the same as the originals. For some reason, the graphics in the original version look softer and a bit more-- homey? comforting?-- than in the sneak peeks. Chikorita looks like it's drawn with pastels in Silver and it's sooooo much more adorable than Turtwig. Also, the music itself-- gah! It's just so hard to explain the nostalgia that comes to me whenever I think of my Gold and Silver version.

    Sentret pawns Bidoof on the cuteness scale. I must say that Platinum had "cooler" features-- however, for some reason, I don't want to play through the game again; however, I do want to reset my Gold and play through that again. Also, you fairly want to poke Cyndaquil in the sides until it giggles or turns over onto its peach-colored stomach in Silver, whereas Chimchar gets some getting used to. And come on, Bronzong? Wingull? Aren't you forgetting awesomely cool Pokemon like Poliwag/Poliwhirl and Bellosum? They should have been available earlier in those games, not those hideous concoctions like Carnivine.

    But that doesn't matter much, I guess-- because I have a pretty good hunch that I'm going to buy SoulSilver as soon as it comes out here.

  • Pokemon Platinum

    So I bought Pokemon Platinum in the states, right? (after debating whether or not I should borrow my cousin's Diamond version) I have been playing it ever since I came back from the states, off and on, so around from august the tenth.

    Today, I defeated the Elite Four, in 50 hours and 9 minutes of recorded gameplay. Who-hoot! *smug grin* The funny thing is, Giratina was the lowest-leveled Pokemon, yet it probably served as a better "tank" than, say, my Luxray. My Mamoswine pretty much breezed through Aaron's Pokemon (except for Vespiqueen, which Togekiss has to put to sleep to prevent it from using "Heal Order", which was pretty aggravating), and it OHKO'd Cynthia's Garchomp (I think), but other than that... I'm sorry, Mamoswine! *sniff* It fainted at least once. And I hate having my Pokemon faint, because they don't like me much after that. :( Thank goodness Inferno, my Infernape (haha very original, I know) didn't faint.

    But, man, that was too easy... Pokemon Gold was kind of harder, me thinks. Or maybe it's just because I played it at such an early age and tried to breeze through the E4 with low-levelled Pokemon. But seriously-- my Inferno was the highest leveled, and it was at level 58. Sad, eh?

    Anyway, I wonder what I'm going to do next? Should I go for the battle tower or for the Pokecontests?

  • Pokemon Gold

    You know, I'm not that much of an advanced gamer. So during the nearly 10 years of my life that I've spent with the Pokemon games, I've beaten the Elite Four once. Only once.

    And that was on this current story.

    Now I've beaten Red, whoot! And it's kind of funny how I beat him using Pokemon leveled at 60 or below. My level 57 Piloswine totally pawned Red's level 81 Pikachu. :P

    The question is... now what? ^^;;

  • Games I've Played

    Okay, maybe not all of them (I started this list and realized I couldn't finish it while doing my gaming career justice), so here are some. For now.

    PORTABLE GAMES (dunno what they're called in gaming lingo)
    Final Fantasy (for like, 5 minutes...)
    Pokemon RY, GSC (still playing Gold 'cause Silver died-- pathetic, eh?), Ruby (a little), FRLG
    Animal Crossing
    The Narnia remake.
    Drill Spirits! first game ever played on DS.
    Zookeeper (or sth like that)
    Nintendogs
    Harry Potter 1 & 2: overall were very lame. - -;;
    The Pokemon game where you try to match those puzzles-- it was for the GB. And finally--
    Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland (explain my username? :P) and the one with all of the mirrors.

    COMPUTER GAMES
    Agsard (one of my favs!)
    Crazy Arcade-- and that racing game, forgot what it was called
    Mabinogi
    Runescape
    Barbie, secret agent (I know. don't ask)

    FYI, I'm a girl, so I've never played any WoW, Starcraft, or any of the bloody shooting games that everyone seems to be so fond of. And never plan on doing. I feel weird when I kill the Dark Wizards in Runescape and there's not even any blood spurting everywhyere; how am I supposed to handle graphic violence? So I play "happy" games like Asgard. :D
